Any White Mafia with Wet Feet
With all this rain and accompanying floods i was just wondering if any of the white mafia are treading water as i write this .The floods in Vic are the worry at the moment and the ones up around Newcastle caused some damage. Notice that if you lost your house and are on the bones of ya ## the government will give you a grand to help you get back on ya feet. Yes the pollies are really in touch with the real world i think not > Just apply at your local centrelink office Yeah right .As if a grand will be much help if you have lost everything but suppose its better than nothing. Have you ever wondered about all that foreign aid?, do we ever get any of it back when we are in trouble?, look at the millions we gave when the tsunami hit, now i ask you does'nt charity start at home?, I think not those that have lost the lot get a grand and have to jump through hoops to get even that. First you got to proove you need the money . I'm very cynical about foreign aid i have a long memory, Cyclone Tracy comes readily to mind no overseas help from anyone and there have been many other likewise tragedies that us Aussies have been left to fend for ourselves. I believe its about time we said to these other countries no foreign aid for you this year we have had a tough trot with floods and we need to look after our own so sorry Seems simple to me What do yous reckon Be3 interested in your views Regards Quinnny

Charity begins at home
I agree with Quinny, the Little Johnny always has his hand in his pocket for everyone else except for the people who helped put him in office. I truly believe that the goverment should fix their own back yard first, then if there is any left be charitible. The problem the goverment give away money to make themselves look good in the eyes of the world, my feeling is that 98% of other countries would look after themselves first.

Too damn true there mate, Which Knocker are you? ,and dont say me last name's White . I knew a lot in the puss, notice by your profile that you done a couple of stints at the 'Tross. If i was between 75 and 91 then I probably know ya so more info please. Yes mate its true what you say and i think many out there are like- minded .I really don't know why we put up with it, I suppose we learnt a long time ago that the government is a law unto themselves . Little Johnny Howhard can I make it for the working stiffs while i grease the pockets of the big business men who really run the show will more than likely be re-elected. Really got a lot to show for Aussie politics if we can do any better than him . Regards Quinny

The goverment these days is too much of Do as I say and NOT as I do. There are one hundred and one things to spend that money here at home instead of overseas. And our pollies don't need any more pay rises, it's typical that they sit in there ivory tower and do not have a true understanding of what is going on at the coal face. The reason that Little Johnny Howhard wants to dispel with unions is so the australian worker will have to compete for jobs and for lower wages, while pollies pat themselves on the back, and give themselves another pay rise, and introduce class distinction.

Wet feet....
when you start getting wet feet through a pair of work boots that means it is time to buy a new pair.

Not neccessarily Smiddy nothing like sneaking up on someone and putting a hose in the top of his boots The name Rastes meehan comes readily to mind he was a character and he got the hose and filled one boot up with water that was the go and it was a different Navy in the 70s. I dont think there were to many cooks that never got a bucket of water thrown over them during a scrub out Good luck if you made it through your navy carreer without getting soaked . Regards Quinny
