COOKS CRICKET TEAM Yes, after yesterdays dismal performance by the poms I've decided to put a team together of pussers cooks we should have a win.
First off we will pick the captain and seeing its my f88888 idea i get to be skipper.
THE vice captain will be Cliff Because he will know all the positions and is a good orginiser and wont be to scared to tell the skipper to go plait his shit.
Now for the openers Dixie Lees and Darryl John Brown should be.
Ofcourse they would need to hit plenty of fours, can't imagine them running too many singles.
Terry Bird will get a run, he'd probably still be fit.
Zero graham also but that depends on his crook knees.
Now Merle Ballantyne and Monica the egg will be our token ladies to add balance to the team and run the beers out to Dixie and Darryl .
Smiley Perrot will get a run, we need someone to organise the grog and supplies for the victory party.
Rastes will be his offsider - what a duo - we wont go thirsty that's for sure.
Now for a few bowlers any one that can hold a ball will do, Billy Rose and Tex Watson you'll do with Cookie Nielson and Russ Wood giving you a hand Chocker Roberts will be 12th man as he has a gopher and can get out to the ground quick smart.
This is the interim list only and if you feel that perhaps I've missed any one out please write back and perhaps submit a team for yourself.
It would be good to hear what you cookie monsters come up with and remember its just a bit of fun but seriously I reckon we could beat the poms.

Jesus thanks for the Vice Captaincy Quinny, but I gotta tell you that I was more comfortable being a 'yobbo' spectator than a participant.
Any team should contain Judy Garland, he is very good at sports - I know this from seeing him in action. Ross Hagley and myself have used him as a cue stick at the Watson Piss Bar.
I was never much of a cricketer at school, always in the shit and being shamed for being a pegger.
And to top that off my favourite all time cricketer was a pom - Derek Randall (2) .

I dont think you would be able to lift me as a stick any more Cliff but Ill give you a game of pool when you come down mate. It was good at Watson but the flat was better.Ill be up that way in April hope to catch up with a few to have a few.

Maybe a bit late in getting the cooks team organised, now that the pommies have pulled a rabbit out of their arse and won the finals We were really piss poor on the night in both finals ah well shit happens There's always the World Cup hope we dont end up with the saucer .Keep well all regards Quinny

Hi Quinny,
I may be speaking out of line here but I think Dixie and I would be better off being sight screeens for the cricket team. You may have to wait awhile for us to move though.
They don't seem to have Wednesday afternoon sportsday anymore, everyone just goes their own way after secure, unlike the ' good old days' when we all stepped together or played a game of cricket on Wednesday only to get home at midnight slightly pissed, it took some convincing my wife that we were playing a day / nighter.
Cheers to the old days Bomber

Yes sight screens it is for you and Dixie, but i m tipping they wont be moved very much.
I can just imagine what you and Dixie would say if some batsman asked you to move the sight screens, first you'd have to put your beer down and then actually do some work moving them, Yeah thats really gunna happen we did have some good times wednesday afternoon sportys yes we all loved them Keep well all and i'll write a dit soon. sorry I meant to say Captain of the cricket team, when I said that Dixie and I would be sightscreens, I didn't mean attendants I meant SIGHTSCREENS, just give us a white shirt big enough problem solved.
Alot of the pussers cooks couldn't play cricket today, reason being 'NO BALLS', hmmmm wonder if this gets a response from the younguns.
