Cooks School
Just to let everyone know i went down to Cerberus last week to catch up with a bloke i joined up with who now volunteers at the museum. It has been many years since i have been down there and i took a quick drive around the place before i left, and what a change. The Cooks school, Bakery and Main Galley have been bulldozed, The only structure left were the shithouse and gash hut out the back of the main galley office where you went for a quick durry. They have placed a garden area with apergola where the cook school stood. Looked like a good place for a pissup Apparently the old Wrans block Mitchell has been turned into an office block for admin. I remember being an ord out of recruit school in 1988 we where having a unauthorized party in Mitchell block during XMAS and someone let off the fire alarm you have never seen so many blokes climbing out of window to make a quick getaway before the firies turned up. Also i found out that ex WOCK Murry McAuliffe now changed over to a grunter is the 1st leut to the XO.

Hi Ando, mate I'll try and dredge out some pics of te cookery school, main galley etc from our vintage if you like. I a away from the museum for about 2 weeks but I'll see what I can find and email them to you. You can share them around with any other members of this site if you like. Was good to catch up with you too. It is always nice to think back on what it was like. I a trying to track down Justin Donnelly. Will let you know how I go.
