Dream on I have a couple of things I do to keep myself occupied - like messing around in my old XB Falcon or Fishing and Crabbing in my Tinnie and I play with my Trains when its' raining (what's rain in SE QLD these days).
I have a Castle Class Loco with 4 Pullman Cars,
A GWR Pannier 0-6-0 Tank Loco and an LSWR 0-4-0 Tank Loco.
All 00 Gauge
Well...........it's a hobby
One of the things I've always been interested in is Model Aircraft and I often stop to watch them flying whenever I see them.
I have a mate nearby with a few hundred acres and a Model Aero Club used his property to do their thing.
One of the members actually flew his own 'real' helicopter up from the Coast and then gets out and unpacks his model chopper and plays around with it for a few hours - and then - jumps back into his 'real' chopper and flies back home. :!: wtf
I can't see myself ever getting involved in Model Planes due to the costs involved, but the following site is a good therapy - lots of gee-whizz stuff.

Mate as soon as I can get my digi camera back, I'll show you the 1/8 scale FA/18 Hornet I've got sitting on the wall here.
Its huge, and authentic.
Did it in RAAF colours, the same as the ARDU RAAF Edinburgh SA, A21-32 single seater.

I like..... I enjoy pottering in my small garden. I only have a few herbs in pots and a rose bush. I love it when it rains because I collect the water and use it for my plants. I enjoy cooking aswell.

Same here Smiddy, I managed to get hold of several larger wheelie bins and use them as tanks.
PVC pipe down from the gutter.
But down here we're getting stuff all rain.
I've set up a heap of planter boxes all over the place, plenty of Oregano, Parsely, Basil, Thyme, Garlic in pots, Bok Choi Chinese cabbage and a whole heap of other goodies for eating.

Mines wooden sailing ship models . So far I've done HMS Bounty and HMB Endeavour . Both over a metre long and with all "working" running gear . double hulled and as authentic to the times as I can get them .
Last week all the goodies arrived to do HMS Victory , this is the "got to do " of all wooden ship modellers . See you in 5 or so years !!!!

Compost heaps.... I have a compost heap that I tend to every now and again. I just let it sit in the corner to do its own thing.
I am one of those lazy gardeners who puts bags over there seedlings and the water from the condensation water the plant . I have little sticks to hold up the plastic bag.
I have just planted some fresh passionfruit seeds. I hope I have left them outside the soil long enough so they can grow.
I have harvested my basil alot and put the excess in ice trays with a bit of water its ready to use.

Was going to nick off out bush asap and do some metal detecting, but my bank manager advised me against getting a substantial loan or I could lose the house....so will wait a bit.
The trailer decked out with genie, sleeping, gas, etc and a GLX Minelab detector will be around $12,000.
This is probably my all time fave hobby, metal detecting, getting out in the scrub, peace and quiet apart from the noisy detector.
Vup vup vup! as you pass it over another signal.
Never have got a chance to go to real fair dinkum gold yielding areas, the only thing the Adelaide Hills is worth going for is coins at old sites.
Minelab detector, pick 'n' mattock, kneepads, water bottle, me WhiteOx and Zippo, and a pack of beef jerky.
What else could a man want?
A nice lump of gold....just big enough so I can feel the weight tossing it up and down in my palms.
The sooner I get out there the better.
