:- Cliff,
I'm hoping that you will be able to post this on your web site at sometime.
Ex chef Garry John Cooke (Chef Chef), born 04/12/1949, passed away at about 1130 hours on Wednesday 23 July 2008 in a Bundaberg hospital from complications after entering hospital with chest infection (Asbestos Related).
Mandy and I are travelling up for the service which is to be held at Kelly's Beach, Bargara, 1000 hrs on Saturday 26 July 2008. Garry is being cremated today, his son Ian and Daughter Megan will then go out in Garry's boat and spread the ashes at sea, which was Garry's wish to be buried at sea, a true matelot.
Thankyou

Hi Quinny,
just confirming that Garry Cook was a Kellick cook as I worked under him on the Hobart 75/76. He then change over to Docky Vegtable before becoming a Doghandler.
Yes a great bloke to work with, mad as a rabbit at times but very likable. It was a shock when I heard the news.
Cheers Bomber

Garry Cook Yes, Garry and I served at Coonawarra and what a great bloke he was I could tell a lot of things we got up too , but the best thing is that he will take all he`s memories with him to our beloved sea bed.
May God Bless you Chef Chef
