We have been attacked by spammers infiltrating the forum recently. I have deleted 8 spam messages since yesterday. This appears to be a problem common with other forums too. The posts appear under the name of 'guest' with links to ads for viagra etc. The forum providers are aware of these spammers and are taking action to deal with them, in the meantime I will just keep on deleting them as soon as they appear. Just lettting you all know that I have changed my name from Cosmum to "Kippy". I found another person on the web using the Cosmum signature and it was explained that her husband mentioned she was a cranky old s*** and she added mum to that and came up with cosmum. My cosmum was because as long as I can remember, my brother has always called me cos, and I added mum, because that is what I am. Kippy was the name of one of my favourite soft toys as a child. It was a very lifelike Koala, until I decided to give it a haircut!!!!! :cry:

Welcome Seeashells, I don't think anybody has been 'kicked off' this site to date and I can't see that happening unless something drastic occurs, and if that ever happens it will be by consensus with my mates here of which there are at least 189 at last count. I think the main reason for this is that we all get on, all disagreements are settled privately, and politics and religion are kept (voluntarily) out of it. I have never seen a bunch of people such as the members here and non members who are not connected to the net get on so well together. The majority are ex Pussers Cooks with quite a few currently serving Pussers Cooks sprinkled through the forum, plus a few other rates such as ex Pussers Greenie Mal (top hand) and Paul (ex dibby and top hand, but really a frustrated Pussers Cook) and there's ex Beagle Windy Hill who left Pussers and went on to become a US Army Ranger and on top of all that I've never seen a bunch of people get on so well as at the last reunion (over 400) The next reunion will have upwards of 700 attending. Most of our topics are light hearted and the 'truth' is often stretched to the limit (gleefully), Once again a big welcome to you and our kindest regards to your wife Marie. :smile:
