Thanks Jaffa & Bob, It really is fascinating reading up on the names, so far my missus has tracked down some of her relatives from WW1 and an Uncle from WW11. (printed a certificate of his service and it was a surprise gift for her mum). I wonder how many others have found relatives from other eras. :?:

Hi Cliff Just been checking out both my Grandfather (Mum's Dad) who was in the Army during WWII and my Uncle on Mum's side of the family who was in the Navy. Fascinating. I have told my brother's and sisters about it and getting it passed on to one of my cousins who would be interested in the site. Going through some photo's when Mum passed away and came across a photo of my Uncle in the Navy uniform. I completely forgot that he had been in the Navy. Cheers Jude
