Old Mates
I just had a beer with George Starcevich .Had a great time. Still the same old George. Gave him the Maingalley site address so expect a member soon.

Good one mate, he will enjoy having a look around here even if just from looking at some of the names we have as members. Also we have a good little collection of photos building up. he should enjoy the memories. Did you tell George that we have :twisted: and (4) and (2) and pirate as members . :grin:

Yes good to see you on board George I will look forward to reading your posts. Yes its good to catch up with old mates many times when I'm on the phone or email and someones name will come up and ya think i wonder what they are doing these days? so thats where this site comes in handy. I now have regular contact expussers some that i had'nt heard from in years . Its amazing really The bond that exists amongst us the white mafia. I often wonder if its the same these days in pussers. My last sea posting was on the Canberra And i did'nt like the direction the Navy was going.I had a good 20 years and was sad and glad to be going. I miss the mateship and its something you never have in civvie street it's dog eat dog out here and now im retired I dont have to put up with it as much some people are so petty it really gives ya the shits . we theirs aname i havent heard for a long while its good to still see some of the old names still coming out of the wood work. i think we will have to extend the reunion to a week so we will be able to get around every one but even one day is good enough to see old mates . Rubes have to agree old son, are you still driving that GMH stuff, I never forget the trips down the old hwy 31 from GI to Gods Country Vic. My mini mokes loved that road although the truckies used to scare the shitout of me. From memory you had a SLR Torana V8 you used give me 5 hrs start on that road still beat me to Melb. cs

Gods country oh pleese Best part of vic is the road leading out of it .Ah Melbourne not the aresole of the world but ya can see it from there .Just thought id have a dig Craig. I have thought for many years living here in adelaide that i was in gods country We have got enough bloody churches over here.Not that ive been in many of them .Liked your article on prospecting I went panning once in bendigo but couldnt get the hang of it and lost patience.I couldnt imagine digging a big hole just to find a sheet of iron .Keep well all Regards Quinny

Berni was my second killick after i left the cookery school first one was ferret brennan, any way berni was working in the wardroom showed me heaps kept me out of trouble, have kept in touch all this time a good mate to have, was pretty good at rabbiting as well still has stuff from the puss and he's been out over 20 years, anyone that knows berni knows he is steptoe. cheers michael boerner
