Quinny, I put the new heading for cricket here. I stuffed up trying to move the other cricket posts and inadvertantly put them under the footy heading. This can't be undone (because of the way I &%$*#$ up}. (4) This thread will be ok for all of the Cricket Comps.

20 Twenty games...
There is a twenty 20 game in Townsville at the new Tony Ireland stadium it is a brand new facility and I was there the day it opened. The first ever cricket game is being played on New Years eve.

Yes Paul cant see you winning any cricket sweep trophys with predictions like that Bring on the one dayers .And 20/20 will be the way to go test cricket is slowly dying gee there was plenty at the mcg yesty NOT. With every major sporting event the almighty dollar will dictate the demise of test cricket It will take some time but it will happen .

Quinny ., Love one dayers...like a footy game......20/20s ?... bit of fun . Real cricket takes 5 days .... Problem is , Aus cricket is so strong that we can't find anyone to go a 5 day test match. I grew up listening to and watching some of the great test matches of the 50s/60s/and70s , problem is that aus cricket has evolved , the rest have stagnated (Poms) , become obessed with $ (Ind.Pak.Sri Lan. ) . Race and money (Africa) politics (West Indies) Wish the Kiwis had a better team , then we could have some great , clean ,in your face cricket .

Its a shame QLD lost the 20/20 in Townsville. And it was a test of the new facitlity. They ran out of beer,it took 1/2 an hour to get a hot dog, there were big line ups for the toilets,ect. I hope they are quick learners from their mistakes. There was a full crowd there so that is why they got slammed.
