I had a yarn with Thunderbolt at the reunion as well Rags. It was good to see him again after all these years.
When doing a quick run up to Brisbane for some weekend leave, I dropped 'Thunderbolt' off at his home near Uralla, NSW. (hence the nickname from nearby Thunderbolts Rock)
One thing I noticed was that unlike the rest of us, he has changed from how he looked in the 70's. wtf :P

Met a pussers chef the other day his name is Chris and is a member of the Southport RSL club. He discharged in 1986 after a rollercoaster of a career. I don't meet many pussers chef. I meet every other defence forces chefs except Navy ones so I was absolutely delighted when he said he was in the Navy. Also that he was on a load of supply type ships and a MW vessel. I told him he should head up to Maroochydoore Anzac day someone mentioned on here that it is the next best thing to a pussers chef reunion. He's kind of busy at the Soutport RSL club on ANZAC day. He's invited me to come back anytime to the RSL club.
