Paul you have done well, thank you. I didn't realise what a Good Looking Rooster I am, no wonder I am a former Writer......lol. That is in fact my ABWTR Daughter & myself enjoying wine tasting at Barrosa Valley, SA on her way up to her posting in Coonawarra early 2007. Nothing like having a paid holiday on pussers TX's!!

The duty weekend at Cerberus could be an exciting time for us cookie monsters if there was roast chicken on the menu for sunday lunch. All the friday and saturday leftovers became sundays special and us cookie boys would cook the chooks off and whilst still warm raffle them off at the sunday sess at the piss bar.The proceeds were then put into the middle of the white mafias table and demolished. The troops loved it because they didn't have go to scran and half pissed all we did was heat up the leftovers. Ah the good old days.

I am surprised that Holdsworthy isn't full of Cooks and Stewards doing time....lol You do realise that there were at least 2 Jervis Bay's. The old Australian Trader and the Battle Cat (that the Navy leased for 3 years from the Tasmanian builder) that did the Darwin to Dili War Run. cheers, Lindsay
