Cliff, I think those photos would have been taken in July 1984. It was the year I put on a surprise birthday party for My Best Mate, and my Mum and my eldest sister came up on the bus from Melbourne to Brisbane for the occassion. That year was the worst for cold weather in a long time. On the trip back home, Mum and Sis, and all the other passengers on the bus, were taken on an overland trek. The poor Bus Driver couldn't find a way back to Melbourne as a lot of the roads cut with the snow. It was about 3am in the morning when we got a phone call to come and collect them, as the bus had to finally turn around and head back to Brisbane I now live about 15 klms from those sites, and although it is not snowing here at the moment, it is pretty cold outside. Thankfully, we are not expecting a repeat of the 1984 snow season (one day)!!!!
