WRAN COOKIES
The last I heard of Monica Eggink she was married to a gunnery chief, they paid off about the same time and bought a place down the south coast of NSW. I'm often in touch with Carmel Squillari (Coghlan) her marriage has just broken down after 30 odd years, and she is living in Melbourne. I know Kelsey's marriage ended ages ago but don't know where she is, thats about all for now.Best wishes Turtle

Good to see you on the forum Merle and welcome going through some photos I found heaps of you from our 'Tross days. I will scan them and send them to you if you want. I cant believe that I served with so many Wrans and dont know where they ended up. I knew you were up in Townsville, a lot of them have dissapeared into thin air. Will ya be at the next reunion ?, be good to catch up. Regards Quinny

Hi Merle Good to see that you have got that computer of yours working. Cheers Jude

Howdy Jude, I had a good chat last week with Merle, we had'nt spoke to each other for some 16 years and fair dinkum it was like I had only just gone to the heads. We had some catching up to do and now I can send her some photos I have of her. Have you all dried out up that way?, we have'nt had decent rain for months down here. My lawn is curling up its toes, but it cost so much for water that a lot of people are'nt watering. My excess was $196 this quarter and I only have a small lawn, pity those with big gardens. Keep well Jude and keep writing, I love reading on the Cooks Site. Regards Quinny

I've been trying to remember who the WRAN Cooks were back in the 60's and none come to mind. Have a feeling that Beryl Stitchling from my intake was one and think Nixon was another one. I'll have to check with some of my old WRAN friends to see if they can think of some and will let you know. Cheers Jude

Hi Quinny, I bumped into an ex wran cookie Simone Seagress not sure if thats how you spell it. Simone served at Albatross in the late eighties. She runs a driving school here in Bendigo, I've given her the reunion details.

Yes Craig I know Simone well, she was Simone Siegrist when at the 'Tross as a new recruit and then she married a young cook by the name of Shane Snodgrass. That marriage did'nt last very long and she started going out with another cook cant think of his name she was still at the 'Tross in 1991 when I left. She was in one of the watches I was in and she was a good one and done her fair share, one of the boys really. She did come from the Shepparton area from memory, be good if she makeds it to the reunion .
